Kato sponsors another Gathering of Africa's Best 2010

Kato was proud to sponsor the 12th Gathering Of Africa's Best award ceremony on Sunday 31st October at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, London.

 

The Gathering of Africa's Best awards celebrated its 12th year on Sunday 31st October at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury. For the third consecutive year Kato was a proud sponsor of this event.

The GAB awards were founded in 1999 by The Trumpet Newspaper, Britain’s largest distributed newspaper for the black community. The GAB award ceremony is a forum where the best of Africa and friends of Africa come together to network and showcase finest talent that Africa has to offer. The event also rewards excellence within the community through the awards.

The event was a huge success and was attended by many well-known African celebrities, politicians and artists who entered the Holiday Inn on the red carpet. DJ Abass interviewed many of the attendees, and overall the evening was full of laughter and recognised and celebrated the excellence of Africa’s finest talents.
The organiser of the event and founder/CEO of The Trumpet newspaper Mr Femi Okutubo welcomed the attendees and expressed his pride at being part of another successful GAB award event.

Kato was honoured to present an award to Fatima Jabbe, a model and actress who has championed charitable activities both in the UK and in The Gambia. She is the organiser of the 'Face of the Gambia' a beauty competition that seeks to help young girls go back to school after being married off at an early age in The Gambia. Fatima is also the founder of the Women of Excellence Award, an award ceremony that helps women to be recognised in male-dominated countries like The Gambia.
 

The GAB award ceremony was certainly an enjoyable evening which Kato was very pleased to sponsor.
